



If you're established in your career or just starting out, send thank-you notes to people who've been there first, helped you, or served as a mentor. These people will really appreciate that you remembered what they did for you and will value you as someone who honors their time and contribution to getting you started.
So, right now, make a list of the 10 people who've made a difference in your career and tell them. You'll find out as you go through your career that you keep getting involved with the same people. You all move up the ladder together and spin off from your jobs into new roles where you can help one another.
